Ben Bulben loop walk

Starting from the car park at the entrance to Gortarowey Fores, you’ll begin by walking through a forested area. The route is easy to follow, offering increasingly impressive views of the surrounding landscape, including panoramic views of Sligo Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. As you walk further, you’ll see the iconic flat-topped peak of Ben Bulben coming closer.

The trail winds its way through open fields and rolling hills. Maybe you’ll spot the elusive Irish hare, along with a variety of bird species. Depending on the season, wildflowers such as heather and gorse can add some color to the landscape.
