Jan Bakker is the founder of the Pamir Trail. He also designs and leads pioneering trekking expeditions in regions like East Africa, Iraqi Kurdistan, and the Pamirs. For Tajikistan, he has written a trekking guide, published by UK publisher Cicerone.
